Sombrero, M104. 5hrs 30 min in 15 minute subs. Aspen CG16M on 20 inch PlaneWave. Notice (a) extremely large outer halo, consistent with it being that of an elliptical galaxy; (b) a tiny almost stellar nulceus. The large halo and tiny nucleus are often overlooked as a result of excessive contrast causing loss of the fainter parts of the halo and bloating and burn-out of the nucleus. We have tried to avoid excessive contrast for that reason.
