NGC 7424
NGC 7424 is a Grand Design face-on barred spiral in Grus, showing intense starburst activity. I like to call it "Chopin", on the grounds that it looks a bit like a set of very busy fingers playing an arpeggio. Extremely low surface brightness (15.5 or so) makes it 25 times less bright than NGC 5128, or 8 times less bright than M83. Seven hours of exposure (plus another hour each of R, G, B) is only just bringing out the faint spiral arm at say 11:00. Needs more exposure.
