Barnard's Galaxy in H-alpha. 13 hours exposure. I've used a wavelet noise filter prior to deconvolution and stretch. This enabled me to bring out ultra-faint and subtle extended faint bits not normally seen, while preserving sharpness in the small bright features. Settng aside false modesty, this Mug is Smug because he wrote the noise filter, the deconvolution, and the stretch software himself.
North on the right. Field approx 30' across. STL-11000M on PlaneWave 20" CDK on modified MI-750 fork.
