Faint nebulosity along the same line of sight as the Gem Cluster, NGC 3293. Yellow: H-alpha, 1hr; Blue: OIII, 1hr. The OIII emission is especially faint. The stronger nebulosity out of frame at bottom right is part of the Gabriela Mistral nebula.. This image was a quick "fill in" shot to use up the last two hours of a clear night. We were surprised how much we captured. The nebulosity does not seem to be the birthplace of the cluster, as there is no suggestion of a cavity.
