Cat's Paw in Scorpius. Green: H-alpha 2hrs, Blue: OIII 2.5hrs, Red: SII 2.5 hrs. Apogee 16M on 20" PlaneWave on MI-750 fork. Very little OIII in this part of the world. The three paw-pads at 5, 7, and 9 o'clock all have completely different characters. The pad at 5pm has multiple small blister-like vacuoles and looks plausibly like the rear view of a roast chicken. The pad at 7pm is more uniform, although it has the most OIII. The 9pm pad shows multiple interesting textures. At 12pm is a small dark nebula which forms the "eye" of a slathering fish-monster with blue lower jaw, about to devour the much smaller blue patch on the pad at 9pm. The identification of the bright green bat-wing-like structure centrally between the three pads is left as an exercise for the student. Ra 17:22::14, Dec -35:58 J2K.
